Masahiro Sugano’s film “Why I Write” featuring the spoken word performance of Kosal Khiev is screened at the Babylon in Berlin for the bi-annual ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival. The film wins “Best Poem Performance on Film”. Learn more on Studio Revolt.

I first read about Kosal in the press, when the UK invited him over to take part in the 2012 Olympics Poetry Parnassus. On his arrival, after all correct paperwork had been prepared checked and delivered, Kosal was detained for 24 hours. In the building that he was due to (and still accomplished) to hold a poetry workshop in. The irony.
